Our team of Interventional Radiologists are all board certified with subspecialty board certifications in Peripheral or Neurological procedures. Our physicians have numerous years of combined experience.

In addition to four fellowship trained physicians our service employs two Radiology Practitioner Assistants. No matter what you needs our staff is there! Dr's. Thwing, Fox, Foust and Snow offer a full clinic service including initial consultations, admissions as needed, and follow up appointments post procedure.

Interventional Radiology encompasses several minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Some of the key areas are listed.

Venous Access

Using image guidance will greatly reduce the common complications associated with venous access procedures. We are able to provide the following. Hemo-Dialysis, Catheters, Ports, PICC's and Long Term Tunneled lines.

Peripheral Vascular

Our peripheral vascular program is the oldest at Winchester Medical Center. We provide both invasive and non invasive imaging. New advances in MR and CT angiography allow us to identify the critical areas of disease and maximize our invasive therapy.

Thrombolysis for DVT

With advances in chemical and mechanical thrombolysis we are able to offered a minimally invasive procedure to remove DVT in the extremity. Early treatment will preserve valvular function and maintain venous patency.

Uterine Fibroid Embolizations

Uterine Fibroid Embolization offers a safe alternative treatment to hysterectomy. Small particles are injected though a catheter directly into the fibroid causing it to shrink. Multiple studies have shown only a minimal reduction in fibroid size is needed to relieve up to 90% of the patients symptoms.

Image Guide Biopsies and Drainage's.

Using image guidance we are able to provide biopsies and fluid collection drainage's to assist your primary physician in your treatment.

Vertoplasty

Vertebroplasty is minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of osteoporotic compression fractures of the spine. During the procedure a bone cement is injected into the fractured area providing stability and a reduction or alleviation of pain in the majority of our patients.
